Resume' Post part 2!

Yo yo, here is the second resume post, with a few things I did in the last two years.

Year of the snake...

Remember him? It took ages to finish it! with my usual perfectionism it took me almost a lifetime to finish this illustration...I experimented with various techniques, in the end I opted for a 3D kind of collage.
I am happy to say it is finished, I like it and that's it!

A total of the canvas...

A close up of the head and a few other details...

Random Clollage

I like collages, sometimes I find pieces of paper or other materials and they somehow wait (patiently, I must say) until I am ready to glue them together and make a picture out of it. So it happened with these scraps of gift paper... I added also some glitter glue and other found objects. I like it as it is but I thought it would be nice as a record cover for Radiohead, so I added the letters with photoshop.

Video projects in an elementary school

For four years, together with a colleague, we organised groups of children and helped them making their movies, cartoons and tv series. Kids have great ideas, it was great to help them creating the story, the costumes, the tricks and shooting the video itself, though sometimes they are not so patient in making their ideas come true! Anyway it was a great fun. We didn't have much money and now the project is closed but I learned a lot and loved it. Unfortunately for obvious privacy reasons I can't publish the videos but I thought it might be nice to see a few pages of the photo storyboard we did in the pre production phase.

This is my last resume' post, the next one will be of current projects! I will also change the structure and the look of this blog and open new "brances" on social medias...stay tuned, if you like! :-)

Roberto Saviano at the Akademie der Künste, 22.03.2012

I made these sketches during the talk of the journalist Roberto Saviano, during his last visit in Berlin.
Since the publishing of his book "Gomorrah",  Roberto Saviano lives under the police's protection: the Mafia sentenced him to death.

I thought taking sketches of his speech would have been better than simple photos. I could not help annotating his words around the sketches.(Please click on the pictures to enlarge them).
